Eye Center of New York: Elevating Cataract Surgery to Unprecedented Heights

Dr. Tal Raviv, an internationally recognized leader in the field of cataract and refractive surgery, started Eye Center of New York in 2014 as part of his mission to redefine the patient experience. With his ophthalmology practice, he set out to create an experience that transcended the ordinary—with a focus on personal attention, compassionate processes, transparent communication, and unmatched value. This vision further crystallized in 2020 as the practice transitioned into our current groundbreaking space at 30 E. 60th–a  facility that stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence.

By limiting his practice exclusively to cataract surgery, Dr. Tal Raviv and his team are able to invest in the absolute latest technology (which is always changing in our dynamic field), as well as offer timely and unhurried office visits to ensure we chose the right IOL for you.

Modern Elegance and Thoughtful Design

Our space isn't just a medical office, just as eye surgery isn’t just another surgery.

Dr. Raviv’s innovative, immediate-recovery cataract surgery not only restores the clarity and brightness of vision, but frequently rejuvenates the eye’s range of focus.  When you’re going through this transformation, the setting you’re in should match.

It is why we replaced the conventional doctors waiting room, with a welcoming reception lounge adorned with curated art -  Our office strives to transcend a clinical atmosphere with its embodiment of light, modernity, and refined aesthetics. Every aspect of our surgical journey, from literature to post-op swag bags, reflects our commitment to a higher standard.

Our Inspiration

In our pursuit of excellence, we drew inspiration from business-class lounges and hotel lobbies, crafting an environment that feels more like a sanctuary than a medical office. The goal was not merely to provide medical services but to envelop our patients in an experience that soothes, inspires, and assures.

State-of-the-Art Tech

Our office features the latest ophthalmic technology. We will scan, image, and precisely measure your entire eye(s) prior to planned cataract surgery, and during the doctor consultation provide you with a digital tour of your eye. Choosing the right intra-ocular lens (IOL) is of utmost importance in achieving your visual goals. We invest in new diagnostic and lens technology even if it offers us only a few percentage points of advantage.   For example, we were the first clinic in Manhattan to implant the revolutionary Light Adjustable Lens.
