Dr. Melissa Sherman, a licensed optometrist at Eye Center of New York, offers full-scope eye care. Graduating magna cum laude from Rutgers University and elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Dr. Sherman earned her doctorate at the SUNY State College of Optometry. Her rotations included diagnosis and management of ocular disease at Woodhull Hospital and St. Albans VA Hospital, providing extensive experience in prescribing glasses and contact lenses.

Dr. Sherman specializes in pre and post op cataract surgery care, including LAL adjustment.  She is also an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye disease, Dr. Sherman has extensive experience in the latest in dry eye diagnostics and treatments. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Sherman is known for her compassionate care, focusing on high-quality and individualized patient experiences. Beyond her practice, she enjoys yoga, travel, and spending time with her husband and two young children.
