Dr. Paul S. Lee is a distinguished clinician, teacher, and leader in ophthalmology. Serving as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai, Dr. Lee is also the Associate Program Director of NYEEI and Mount Sinai’s ophthalmology residency program. Currently, he holds the position of President of the NYEEI and Mount Sinai Ophthalmology Alumni Association, one of the country’s largest ophthalmology networks.

Dr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree with honors in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago. He pursued his medical degree at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. His journey continued with the completion of his ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

A recipient of the Abraham L. Kornzweig Award for Excellence in Resident Education, Dr. Lee has co-authored chapters in major ophthalmology reference textbooks. He actively contributes to resident education, particularly in modern cataract and glaucoma surgery techniques. Outside work, Dr. Lee is a dedicated family man and a passionate athlete, having completed several Olympic distance triathlons.
