With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Tal Raviv is a fellowship-trained cataract and refractive surgeon and an internationally recognized leader in refractive cataract surgery. In his private NYC ophthalmology practice, Dr. Raviv specializes exclusively in refractive cataract surgery. His innovative, immediate-recovery, laser cataract surgery, free from injections, patches, or dark glasses sets a new standard in patient care.
Dr. Raviv is renowned for his expertise in high-risk and complex cataract surgery, often accepting referrals from fellow ophthalmologists. He is a trailblazer in using microstents such as iStent and Hydrus during cataract surgery, pioneering minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). Dr. Raviv also employs innovative technologies such as femtosecond laser cataract surgery and ORA laser-guided intraoperative refraction, ensuring the most precise cataract outcomes.
