Dr. Raviv is honored to be a Charter Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery’s inaugural class.

New subspecialties are a part of the evolution of medicine. Ophthalmology became the first specialty board in 1915 when the American Board of Ophthalmology was created as a certifying body.

In 2023, the WCRS is setting the standards and certifications for the newly recognized subspecialty of refractive surgery.

Exciting times as as our specialty continues to advance procedures which make humanity’s reliance on externally worn optical prostheses (ie glasses and contacts) a relic of history.

Our patients will always have access to the latest generation of lifestyle lenses with their cataract or RLE surgery.
